How do I aproach my parents about shopping at aeropostale and other brands like that?
I'm a boy, 14 going on 15. Everbody in my school wears brands like Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, and Aeropostale. I looked online at the prices, and Aeropostale and American Eagle seem the cheapest. I also like the brands from Pac Sun. Currently I get my clothes at places like Kohls, Steve & Barrys, Maceys, and JC Pennys. It's not that I don't like those clothes, it's that I'd prefer clothes from Aeropostale and American Eagle...Money isn't really an issue, and the prices are just about the same from the places where I currently get clothes. The bottom line is, how do I ask my mom for this? My dad doesn't care. I have a pretty good relationship with my mom MOST of the time.
Just tell her that you've looked on their website and have developed an interest in some of their clothes. Is there a store in your local mall or shopping center? Next time you're there with your mom, ask if you could just pop your head in to check it out. My parents are crazy about American Eagle and Aeropostale clothes - it's not like parents wouldn't approve.
