Ingrown toenail problem?
I'll try to describe it as well as possible:
I'm not sure how long ago it was when I 1st noticed it, but I'm not sure what to do now with my ingrown toenail.
Sandals aren't something I wear.
My toe hurts, it's not too red, but I'm lost, my parents aren't 100% sure either. My mom suggested bread and milk on it, but I always thought that was for other things.
I don't know, I'd rather have surgery the last option.
Thanks
I've tried many things, like cutting (not too good) keeping it in water for awhile, once with epsom's salts. And after trying to get cotton underneath it.
The worse part is toward the bottom of my big toenail, it hurts to try and get cotton there, plus, I'm not too successful with it
If you dig it out it will only grow back. I dealt with them for years and finally had to go to a podiatrist and get the sides cut out. It wasn't a very comfortable ordeal but in the end it's the best thing I ever did. I used to sit and soak and dig and cut for weeks and each time my nail would get ingrown again. If you do manage to get it cut out and it grows long enough after wards, try and cut them straight across and not too short. Eventually, you will have to have surgery on them. Sorry to say. Good luck!
