How do i make my Dwarf bunny more happy??
Okay.. I have a Dwarf bunny shes about 1 year old and shes white with pink eyes..i got her about 8-9 months ago..
she has a cage in my room a good big size cage for her..i got her food bowl. water.lil tunnel. hay. and her fave treaats healthy bits. But for some reason i feel like shes bored sometimes. because the only thing she has to play with is she likes to dump all her food out of her food bowl and she flips over her tunnel and drags her bowl under it and flips it over, i guess this is how she entertains herself..i dont know.. but i want to be a better care taker to her becuz she is an angel and i want her life to be a little bit more normal..i want her to be more snuggly with me not to be skiddish and to have more fun!! do i buy her all kinds of toys?!?!? do i play with her alot more cuz i like to play with her 4 about almost an hour every other day???
she also likes to go potty in one spot in her cage?!?!?! yet shes very good on not pooping when out of cage. help?!?! Q
Many rabbit love toys. Mine especially enjoy toilet paper tubes or paper towel tubes stuffed with grass hay, plastic 'baby keys', anything with a bell in it, and organic dired apple twigs to gnaw on. They also should have at least 4 hours of time out of their cage each day for exercise and play time.

As far as her not being cuddly, most rabbit aren't. They are prey animals, and being picked up and restrained is unnatural for them, it's like being grabbed by a huge predator. You'll improve your relationship with her if you stop trying to 'cuddle'. Sit or lie on the floor and let her choose when and in what way she wants to interact with you. Offer treats when she approaches, but don't grab her. Once she realizes you aren't going to grab her and pick her up, she'll probably be a lot more friendly with you. The other thing that will help is spaying her if you haven't already. Female rabbits get pretty cranky and hormonal if not spayed, plus they have a reproductive cancer rate near 85%, so not spaying will shorten their life by an average of half (from 8-10 years to 5 years)
